President Donald Trump took some friendly jabs at the White House press corps during a visit from their children in the Oval Office Friday afternoon.
The White House invited reporters to bring in their kids dressed in Halloween costumes to meet with Trump and receive some White House candy.
"I cannot believe the media produced such beautiful children," Trump said. "How the media did this, I don't know."
Politico posted a clip of the scene.
Trump turned to another costumed child to his left and asked, "So how does the press treat you? I'll bet you get treated better by the press than anybody in the world.
"Well congratulations, folks. You did a good job. Here, you did a good job," Trump added, pointing to the kids gathered around him.
"I wouldn't say you did very well here," he said, pointing to himself.
Trump and White House officials routinely bash the media for what they think is biased coverage of the president and his administration. Friday's event provided Trump with another opportunity to poke fun at the reporters as they snapped photos and took notes during the children's visit.
