Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz., told Newsmax TV on Friday that she would be thrilled to meet with President Donald Trump during his upcoming trip to Arizona, where he will tour a manufacturing plant that’s making respirators.
“Gosh, I hope so,” Lesko told “National Report,” when asked if she’ll be meeting Trump during his trip, which is scheduled for next week.
“I’ve been reaching out to the White House and trying to do it,” the congresswoman continued. “I said, ‘I'll take a test, I'll do whatever I have to do,’ because I'm so happy that he's coming to Arizona, and he's visiting a Honeywell manufacturing plant.”
She added, “Honeywell has a huge presence in Arizona, and they really stepped up to the plate to help in this crisis to manufacture more N95 masks. And I'm so glad that President Trump is coming here to Arizona, because Arizonans love President Trump, we love what he's doing.”
