A group of Pittsburgh men, three dead and four hospitalized, have local police issuing a warning and a call for information for a "medical situation," according to a Pittsburgh city bulletin.
The men, presumed to be in their early 30s, were found in a upscale apartment, in the elevator of the complex, and on a street nearby, according to police.
"It is our understanding that the group had attended an outside event where they may have consumed a toxic substance before returning to the apartment," the complex public relations wrote in a statement, according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
A Sunday morning update confirmed three men have died and four are hospitalized from serious to critical condition alerted by emergency calls early Sunday morning after 3 a.m. ET.
"Pittsburgh Police are responding to a medical situation in the South Side," the bulletin read. "Police can confirm multiple hospitalizations and deaths.
"All of the victims are wearing orange paper bands on their wrists.
"Anyone who attended or has knowledge of a party or event in which guests were given orange wrist bands, please call Police at (412) 323-7141."
There were no indications of poor air quality at the complex, nor signs of drug paraphernalia or needles, according to reports.
