A Texas woman died from complications of coronavirus during a flight from Arizona, officials announced this week, according to WFAA.
The unnamed 30-something woman from Garland, Texas, started having problems breathing before the plane took off July 25.
The woman, who had preexisting health conditions, was given oxygen but still died on the runway.
It has not been reported what airport she was departing from.
Officials were told about her death earlier but just learned a few days ago she died from coronavirus, according to Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
"We don't know a whole lot," Jenkins said during a press conference. "We may not know if she was aware she was sick."
Jenkins said the woman got infected during a stay in Arizona, adding this was a "reminder that there is no age restriction in COVID."
