A home explosion in Cleveland Sunday left one person dead and another critically injured, Cleveland.com reports.
Cleveland’s Fire Department also said there was damage to several neighboring houses, including windows blown out and walls knocked down. The explosion happened around 1 p.m.
Cleveland police said they were originally called for wires down at the location. Authorities evacuated several homes as a precaution and cordoned off the neighborhood while trying to determine the cause of the blast.
Cleveland News 5 reported a gas odor in the neighborhood when its TV crew arrived on the scene.

"I heard a big boom," neighbor Terra Market told Cleveland News 5. "We thought it was like an airplane the way it hit and the way it shook."
"All the windows and everything crashed and everything shot off the dressers," said Saniqua Beckham.
