Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Wednesday laughed when asked if President Donald Trump should be banned from Twitter.
"Sen. Warren, really easy one," a reporter said at a press gaggle following her appearance at a presidential Gun Safety Forum.
"Should Donald Trump be banned from Twitter?"
Warren, a Democratic presidential contender, laughed, "No!"
Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., also a presidential primate candidate, on Tuesday asked CEO Jack Dorsey to suspend Trump's account for making "blatant threats" and inciting violence.
Harris issued a formal letter to Dorsey, citing Twitter's policies against targeted harassment, threats, and inciting violence.
The California lawmakers included six of Trump's recent tweets surrounding his impeachment, all of which, Harris wrote, "are blatant threats" and violate Twitter's user agreement.
Harris tweeted:
"Hey, @jack. Time to do something about this."
The White House responded to Harris' request with a statement, "It is not surprising that Kamala Harris, someone who believes in bigger government and more regulation, would like to silence her political opponents. In fact, it's rather authoritarian of her. President Trump's use of technology to communicate directly with the American people and share his administration's unprecedented accomplishments should be praised, not criticized."
