President Donald Trump tends to have to spend energy to "brush off the detractors" amid the coronavirus pandemic and the 2020 election cycle, but he has thick skin and thicker resolve, according Trump 2020 campaign senior adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle on Newsmax TV.
"He makes the honey badger look shy and meek," Guilfoyle told "Saturday Report." "He brushes it off and he keep going. It's unbelievable."
Guilfoyle, who is helping run the campaign virtually with Donald Trump Jr., added Americans need "someone of high caliber and resolve to make the tough decisions and to brush off the detractors.
"They might not change the way they are, but President Trump is pushing forward," she told host Grant Stinchfield of endless attacks from the media and political opponents.
Guilfoyle marveled at the Trump family energy and work ethic.
"Don and I will talk to him in the Oval Office, it's midnight and he's still working and getting after it," she said. "He is more committed than ever before; that's why he is the right choice.
"We need somebody who's tough, who has thick skin – a businessman who knows how to find the front of the paycheck instead of just the back of a paycheck."
Those characteristics trickle down to everyone in the Trump family, who are all working toward the 2020 re-election, she said.
"You cannot believe the strength and resolve of the whole family, how hard they work, and how committed they are to the American people, because they know and believe they're worth it," Guilfoyle concluded.
