By    |   Thursday, 31 January 2013 03:32 PM EST

Warren Buffett has scored another daily newspaper with the purchase of the Greensboro News & Record in North Carolina.

The addition of the 122-year-old North Carolina brings the number of daily publications the billionaire businessman owns to 27.

“We're delighted to have the Greensboro News & Record join our growing family of newspapers,” Terry Kroeger, CEO of Buffet’s BH Media Group, told Omaha.com.

“The News & Record is a great fit with our newspapers in North Carolina.’’
Those papers include the Winston-Salem Journal, four other dailies, and six weeklies.

Last year, Buffett acquired 63 Media General newspapers for $142 million.
He also owns the influential Buffalo News and the Omaha World-Herald.
