Brian Williams Resigns From Medal of Honor Foundation

By    |   Thursday, 19 February 2015 07:03 PM EST

Suspended NBC news anchor Brian Williams has given up his board of director position for the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.

The resignation was announced on the foundation's website.

Williams was suspended as anchor of NBC Nightly News Feb. 10 following a Stars and Stripes report that countered his claims of being aboard a helicopter forced down by rocket-propelled grenade fire during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
