Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan on Monday rejected a request from the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity to provide information on the state's voter rolls, Arizona Central reports.
The decision is a reversal after Reagan, a Republican, had indicated last week her office would comply with a request. But she said her office was subsequently flooded with hundreds of emails urging her not to release the information, and she said she received no messages asking her to comply with the request.
President Donald Trump has maintained after his election that he lost the popular vote only because of instances of voter fraud across the country. Critics in both parties have disputed him.
Arizona joins a growing number of states who are balking at the release of their voter data. Louisiana earlier Monday said it would not release its data either.
