One year after leaving the hit CBS show "Two and a Half Men," 20-year-old Angus T. Jones, who infamously called the show "filth," is now a student at the University of Colorado and speaks at churches about the Bible and God.
Jones says that after rediscovering his Christian faith, it was hard for him to continue to appear on the sitcom, telling Houston TV station
KHOU, "It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people.
"I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn't OK with it, and I was still doing it," he said in an interview Saturday.

Jones, who has reportedly become a close follower of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, was in Houston to speak to parishioners at the World Harvest Outreach Church.
His departure from the show was far from smooth. In a video posted in November 2012 by
The Forerunner Chronicles, Jones explained why he wanted to get closer to his heritage and further away from Hollywood.
"If you watch 'Two and a Half Men,' please stop watching [it] . . . I'm on 'Two and a Half Men'; I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth," he said.

Jones became the highest-paid child actor in television history at 17, raking in $300,000 an episode, according to the
Daily Mail.
In his latest role, he told the congregation at World Harvest Outreach about his spiritual journey. "I really want to come to the light because I know that is where the healing is, and I've seen God do amazing things," he said.
"He really considers his relationship with God and what he's putting out in the atmosphere to be a lot more important than his reputation in Hollywood. Angus, I'm not sure really cares a whole lot about being an actor or being well known in that regard," James Doggett, pastor at the church, told KHOU.
Still, Jones hasn't ruled out acting altogether. "There's a few different productions that, like, do kind of Bible-based stories," he said. "Stuff like that."
