Hulk Hogan's Bam Margera tribute over the weekend was a bit premature considering that the "Jackass" star is not dead.
It turns out that the former professional wrestler got Margera confused with his former "Jackass" co-star Ryan Dunn, who died behind the wheel in 2011 during a traffic collision, The Daily Mail reported.
Taking to Twitter Monday, Hogan shared a photo of himself with Margera.
"Damn Bam I wish you were still with us," he wrote. "'I sure would love to hang out again my brother love u miss u HH."
The World Wrestling Entertainment athlete was quick to backtrack on the post, deleting the image and posting a follow-up tweet clarifying the matter.
"Got Ryan and Bam mixed up sorry Bam!!! HH," Hogan said in the post that was also later deleted, according to the HuffPost.
It has been a rough few years for the two "Jackass" stars, which ultimately culminated in the death of Dunn, who was killed in a collision along with passenger Zachary Hartwell on June 20, 2011, in Pennsylvania.
Meer hours before the crash, Dunn posted photos to Twitter of himself and friends drinking.
Margera recently managed to avoid serving jail time after being charged with two counts of driving under the influence in January, TMZ noted.
It is unclear what made Hogan post the tweets in the first place, and then delete them, but his followers poked fun at the former wrestler for his mishap.
