Founded in 2021, Soul Journey Breathwork has already helped hundreds of people discover their inner healer with the power of breath. Shannon, the brain behind Soul Journey Breathwork, wants people to know that every human body is gifted with a self-healer that lies within them. This innate ability to heal and sweep out any defenses, blockages, restrictions, and pains that hold them back will ultimately lead to enhanced emotional intelligence and a more resilient nervous system. Shannon has experienced this herself after completely recovering from an autoimmune disease by regulating the nervous system through systematic breathing.
Shannon started her career as a home health geriatric Physical Therapist after obtaining a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Soon after becoming a mother, Shannon retired from being a PT and focused entirely on her family. Several years later, she was diagnosed with POTS, an autoimmune disease that affects the autonomic nervous system. It was then that Shannon realized the value of one’s health. After a long healing journey that included breathwork, Shannon decided to use the same path to help others overcome their physical and emotional obstacles. Being a Physical Therapist gives her an added advantage when taking people through the specific somatic release breathwork process. Shannon incorporates music, NLP commands, along with therapeutic touch to enhance the experience of breathwork release.
At Soul Journey Breathwork, Shannon makes every effort to produce a cathartic emotional release that helps individuals rediscover themselves. Most of her clients are entrepreneurs, and Shannon understands how mentally draining the profession can be as they aim to achieve optimal success. Being married to an entrepreneur, Shannon’s awareness of the pressure, anxiety and challenges of running a business is unparalleled. Shannon’s journey, both personally and professionally, has not been an easy one. Even after recovering from her autoimmune disease and starting her own practice, Shannon had to overcome every possible challenge to continue doing what she loved.
