He is currently the vice-chairman of the company that in 2019 became the fastest-growing fitness franchise chain in the world. Earlier, Wilks had owned several other businesses like a grocery store, a furniture store, a concert promotion agency, gas stations, jewelry stores, and car dealerships.

Wilks is the creator behind the "Strategies for Millionaire Magnetism" program, helping people venture into business more confidently. He is also associated with the philanthropic organization Ready-Set-Work, providing for the welfare of underprivileged children. Even at the peak of his success, he never forgot his roots.
