The Russian Collusion Fiction Lies in Tatters

The tired Russian collusion fiction lies in tatters — and any intelligence professional can see that.

Let’s review some of the recent coverage, along with my take from a career of Clandestine Operations.

After a rebuke from a Federal judge, the Mueller investigation finally submitted the FBI 302 report (heavily redacted), completed after Flynn’s January 2017 questioning. My examination of the report shows the FBI asked some fairly innocuous CI questions — followed by a number of very specific questions about contact with Russian officials — to which we know the FBI already had the answers.

Flynn’s actions as incoming National Security Advisor were entirely above board and normal. Unbiased FBI questioning of Gen. Flynn would, I believe, have reflected concern that he was being “used” unwittingly by Russia. Instead, not only the questions, but the actual scheduling of the interview, indicates entrapment.

FBI Director Comey has stated that although such a visit would have been coordinated through the White House Counsel, "I thought: 'it’s early enough, let’s just send a couple guys over.'”

In this case, the “couple guys over” included discredited anti-Trump sycophant Strzok, spearheading an op dedicated to unexpectedly catching Gen. Flynn off-balance. Although General Flynn surely knew that lying to FBI investigators was a crime, I am sure he was not anticipating that they were in fact “gunning” for him, and unfortunately decided to meet on their terms, and without a lawyer.

After a lifetime of service, I can’t blame Gen. Flynn for thinking that the FBI would not conduct such an obviously partisan gambit against him — way back in 2017, I think we expected our government agencies to mostly act in an unbiased manner. The partisan FBI got what it wanted out of the interview — a scalp — and more importantly, scored against the Trump Administration. A long-serving patriot was just “collateral damage” in the Crusade Against Trump.

What these two events demonstrate is what we have been seeing for months; a wholesale contempt for bureaucratic procedure and protocol to a degree our nation has never before seen. The end sought is all important: the destruction of the Trump Administration — everything else, including the safeguards incorporated into our federal government to protect individual liberties, is to be sacrificed.

Like a malignancy, this cancer works throughout our government, but particularly in our intelligence and law enforcement communities, because it is therein that the power lies — the ability to control or at least intimidate the population. It is a system that has produced creatures like Comey, Peter Strzok, Andy McCabe, and John Brennan. The fact that we know the names of so many of these highly placed miscreants should give us pause — how many are out there that we yet do not know?

That is why we have the initially “lost” 302s, the flagrant abuse of Signals Intelligence (the unmaskings), rampant abuse of our FISA courts, and now, Mueller’s team wiping clean texts sought by the Justice Department's own Inspector General!

These repeated outrages make it clear that Mueller, like other members of this “elite” are contemptuous of any authority save their own. Even an iota of the offenses committed by these contemptibles would have resulted in a prison sentence for a rank-and-file officer.

But one can ask any junior officer in these agencies (or the military) how many times they have attended presentations by many of these same senior officers who lecture them about Integrity and Accountability. Ex-Director Comey is even speaking on “ethics” at William and Mary!

That the high-handed reprobate Mueller has been expanding his mandate to include any indiscretion committed by Trump, when he was initially charged with investigating Russian influence in the 2016 Election, indicates the inherent evil of the Special Investigator’s position — and the corruption of many in the Washington hierarchy.

Meuller and his staff make a mockery of all ethical and legal guidelines bearing direct responsibility for the rapidly diminishing trust the American People have in our government. We are at the point now that it is appropriate to investigate Mueller’s investigation.

Mueller’s contempt for law, procedure, and common decency, as well as his dedication to covering up the corruption of the Obama Administration, will eventually enshrine him in infamy — provided it's not the Corrupt who write the history books.

With all of these distressing developments, and amidst our growing suspicion of government, corrupt, self-important people like Comey even deny their own role in the mess before us!

All of what I have described above will come at a price: diminished efficiency and morale in our Intelligence and Law Enforcement communities.

Seeing the shocking moral shortcomings of recent leadership, fewer young people will be inspired to seek out these career paths. Our Community will see a reduction in the amount of quality applications — or worse, attract more sociopaths eager to take a page from the Mueller/Comey/Brennan book and exploit power for personal or partisan gain.
