CNBC compiled a list of 10 U.S. cities offering a combination of high-paying jobs and a low cost of living. The cities offering such a sweet combination are generally found in the south or southwest. North Carolina is the only state with two cities on the list: Durham (No. 5) and Charlotte (No. 10).
Topping the list and offering the best combination of high pay and low cost is Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. That city’s average annual income is $72,385 while the cost of annual necessities is $18,701.
