President Donald Trump is planning to hire additional staffers for his social media team, CNN reported on Monday.
Currently only one aide works with the president to put out his tweets and deal with the other digital responsibilities, according to a senior administration official.
This is in sharp contrast with former President Barack Obama, whose White House had a digital team of some 20 staffers who worked on getting out the administration's message on social media.
The White House is also expected to make more high-profile hiring decisions soon connected to communicating Trump's message to the public.
A search is reportedly under way for a new communications director. White House press secretary Sean Spicer is currently handling that job as well, although the two positions have typically been carried out by two employees.
