Former Vice President Mike Pence plans to make another trip to the early voting state of South Carolina before November’s midterms and amid reports he's weighing a 2024 presidential run.

Florence Baptist Church promoted Pence’s upcoming appearance, scheduled for July 20 at 7 p.m. ET.

"We are excited to welcome Vice President Mike Pence to the Pee Dee and honored to host him at FBT," the church’s website said. "Mike Pence has demonstrated a consistent Christian testimony throughout his years in public service. His topic will be 'The Post-Roe World.' "

Pence has not said if he plans to run for the Republican nomination in 2024. Doing so could pit him against his ex-boss, former President Donald Trump.

Trump in May said he thought his former vice president will have a "hard" race should he run for president.

"I don't want to say," Trump told CBN after being asked about Pence's chances. "If Mike got in, I think it would be a hard one for him. I understand where the base is. I love the base. The base loves me. I think it would be hard, but Mike was a good guy. I thought he was a very good vice president. He was my friend."

Trump and Pence had a strong relationship until the then-vice president refused to challenge the 2020 election results.

Pence in March released his "Freedom Agenda," which combines traditional Republican goals such as increasing American energy production, cutting taxes and rolling back regulations with priorities pursued by Trump on issues like trade and immigration.

In early May, Pence spoke at a pro-life gala in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and praised a then-leaked draft document indicating that the Supreme Court could overturn the Roe v. Wade decision on abortion.

In a 6-3 decision on June 24, the court upheld the Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy, and ruled that the Constitution does not enshrine a right to an abortion, and that the issue belongs with the states.

In late April, Pence spoke at Columbia International University's commencement, telling graduates at the Christian school that "the antidote to cancel culture is freedom, so decide here and now that you will live as free men and women, and defend the freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to defend."
