As President Donald Trump continues to press the issue of voter fraud stemming from last year's election, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said he does not know of any examples of the illegal practice.

"As I've said in the past, I'm not aware of any widespread voter fraud here in New Hampshire," Sununu told NH1 News on Monday. "The president and his administration have made some assertions to the contrary, and we look forward to continually working with them, finding out what they know.

"If there's any evidence out there, we can address those concerns at that time."

Over the weekend, Trump's senior adviser Stephen Miller defended Trump's assertions voter fraud occurred.

It is an issue "we're going to look at seriously and hard," Miller said.

New Hampshire allows its residents to register to vote on voting day. Sununu alluded to that, and admitted the law deserves a second look.

"We have laws here that definitely need to be tightened up," Sununu said. "We have areas where we can look at. What is the definition of a resident or domiciled, and I think the legislature will be taking up a lot of the various aspects of our current voter law. There's a lot of gray there."
