A group of military veterans is calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment, HuffPost is reporting.
The group, Common Defense, made its impeachment call in a video produced in conjunction with billionaire Tom Steyer’s organization, Need to Impeach.
HuffPost noted Steyer’s group has collected more than 8.2 million signatures on an online petition urging Congress to start impeachment proceedings.
The veterans' video was released on Thursday. Perry O’Brien, identified as an Army Veteran, is seen saying: “Fourth of July is about celebrating our independence from foreign powers. How can we do that when we have someone in the White House, who actively conspired with a foreign adversary to get there.”
And Marie Delus, identified as a Marine Corps vet, added: “Not only is (Trump) cruel – I believe he’s also a criminal."
Trump, in a July 4 speech, praised America’s military might.
"We celebrate our history, our people, and the heroes who proudly defend our flag: the brave men and women of the United States military," Trump said.
