Trump Calls on UN to Renew Syria Chemical Weapon Probe

President Donald Trump urged the United Nations Security Council on Thursday to renew investigation into chemical weapon use in Syria.

Need all on the UN Security Council to vote to renew the Joint Investigative Mechanism for Syria to ensure that Assad Regime does not commit mass murder with chemical weapons ever again.

The council is expected to vote Thursday on whether to renew the mandate for the mechanism or not. To pass, the resolution must get nine votes out of the 15 council members and no vetoes, according to The Hill.

Since Tuesday, 22 civilians died from government shelling and bombardment in Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Thursday.
