President Donald Trump ripped into plans by any professional athlete to kneel while the national anthem is being played.

His comments came on Tuesday in a tweet.

Trump wrote: “Looking forward to live sports, but any time I witness a player kneeling during the National Anthem, a sign of great disrespect for our Country and our Flag, the game is over for me!”

Trump has been a vocal critic in the past of athletes who kneel during the anthem.

His comments came as Major League Baseball gets set to start its season on Thursday and the NBA is scheduled to resume its season on July 30.

“Lift Every Voice and Sing" — known as the Black national anthem — will reportedly be performed live or played before "The Star-Spangled Banner" prior to each NFL game during Week 1 this season.

The league is also reportedly considering putting names of victims of police brutality on helmet decals or jersey patches.
