Trump: I Want My Cabinet Nominees to 'Be Themselves'

Donald Trump praised his Cabinet nominees early Friday, saying he wants them to "be themselves."

All of my Cabinet nominee are looking good and doing a great job. I want them to be themselves and express their own thoughts, not mine!

His statement on Twitter comes in the midst of confirmation hearings for key nominees, who have expressed views different than Trump's stated views on issues such as torture, foreign policy, Muslim immigration, the military, and Russia.

Secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson, Defense nominee James Mattis, and Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions have expressed views at odds with Trump's public positions.
