President Donald Trump put the spotlight on former presidential rival Hillary Clinton Monday, taking to Twitter to highlight questions about her team's connections to Russia and to remind his followers that she received questions in advance for at least two debates during last fall's campaign.
Trump's Russia tweet comes amid ongoing questions about links his team might have had to the nation.
Trump's tweet comes several weeks after a report that Tony Podesta, brother of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign manager, was hired by Russia's largest bank, Sberbank to lobby for the end to economic sanctions issued by former President Barack Obama's administration.
The Podesta Group-Sberbank connection is as close to Russian President Vladimir Putin as you can get, Forbes reported.
"Sberbank is the Kremlin, they don't do anything major without Putin's go-ahead, and they don't tell him 'no' either," a former intel source told Forbes.
It also comes on the heels of a recent report that Texas Republican Louie Gohmert is calling for an investigation into John Podesta's ties to a Russia firm founded by Putin.
Trump also brought up an issue that has been a recurring sore spot for him: the fact that Clinton received questions in advance of at least two of their debates last fall.
