President Donald Trump will travel to Arizona next week, his first trip since March 28 as the coronavirus ramped up in the United States.
"I think I’m going to Arizona next week, and we look forward to that," he told reporters Wednesday during a Q&A session with industry leaders on reopening the country’s economy during the pandemic, reports the Arizona Republic.
"And I'm going to, I hope, Ohio very soon," he continued. "And we’re going to start to move around, and hopefully in the not too distant future we’ll have some massive rallies and people will be sitting next to each other."
Trump said the trip to Arizona was tied to “industry.”
The president last traveled on March 28 to Norfolk, Va., to see off hospital ship USNS Comfort, which was heading to New York City to aid virus response.
Before then, Trump went to Orlando to hold a fundraiser at the home of Bob Dello Russo on March 9.
