Great America PAC is supporting Donald Trump for president against Ted Cruz in Wisconsin, although Trump has gone on record as being against super PACs.
The PAC launched a video targeting Ted Cruz, saying he wanted amnesty for illegal immigrants.
The ad seems to aim at women voters,
according to CNN. The video features a woman saying that her family's safety is her main concern.
"Sure, I get grief when I say I'm voting for Donald Trump," the woman in the commercial says. "But you know what? I want to protect my family."
"Paris, San Bernardino. Now Brussels. I want a president that will keep us safe," the woman says. "We need to secure our borders and stop letting dangerous people in." As for Ted Cruz, "He wants to give amnesty to illegal immigrants."
"That won't protect my family. Donald Trump will."
Great American PAC spokesman Jesse Benton said the group, "felt the need to lay the groundwork for the outside efforts Republicans will need to win the White House and lengthen Mr. Trump's coattails to protect our majorities in Congress."
A
Marquette poll in Wisconsin said Cruz has pulled ahead of Trump in Wisconsin.
While campaigning in Wisconsin, Cruz is targeting Trump's record on women, according to the
Texas Tribune.
"We don't need a Donald Trump to set us back another 100 years," said Wisconsin state Rep. Kathy Bernier.
