President Donald Trump is not playing golf in Palm Beach Saturday, Bloomberg reported Jennifer Jacobs said on Twitter.

“White House wants to respect the dead and the mourners” of the Parkland, Florida school shooting, Jacobs said she was told.

Trump’s Florida property, Mar-a-Lago, is “about half an hour” from the site of the shooting, Jacobs said in the tweet.

The president traveled to Florida over the weekend, and visited recovering shooting victims in a hospital Friday night, The Hill reported.

The president offered compliments for first responders, the FBI, and Officer Michael Leonard, the Coconut Creek, Fla., the officer who apprehended accused shooter Nikolas Cruz.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., told Trump that the community was in “deep pain” over the shooting.

“This is a community and a state that is in deep pain and they want action to make sure this doesn’t happen again,” Rubio said to Trump, The Hill reported.

“You can count on it,” Trump responded to Rubio, the report said.
