Celebrity Trump critics are praising House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for announcing a formal impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump in response to his efforts to pressure Ukraine to probe Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, reports The Hill.

The probe into Trump centers on whether he sought help from a foreign government to undermine Biden and help his own reelection.
Trump made about eight demands for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to work with his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to investigate Biden and his son. Trump later confirmed reports that his administration froze nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine, but said the move was unrelated to anything with Biden.
Pelosi said such actions would mark a “betrayal of his oath of office” and declared: “No one is above the law.”
