With just two months before the New Hampshire primary, Donald Trump holds a commanding lead over his Republican rivals — and both he and Marco Rubio have gained ground in the state in recent months, a new survey showed on Tuesday.
Here are the results of the latest
CNN/WMUR poll of Granite State voters:
- Trump: 32 percent.
- Marco Rubio: 14 percent.
- Chris Christie: 9 percent.
- Jeb Bush: 8 percent.
- John Kasich: 7 percent.
- Ted Cruz: 6 percent.
- Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina: 5 percent each.
- Rand Paul: 2 percent.
- Lindsey Graham and Mike Huckabee: 1 percent each.
- All other candidates: less than 1 percent each.
Five of the top six finishers increased their margins since the last survey in September:
- Trump: Up 6 points, from 26 percent.
- Rubio: Up 5 points, from 9 percent.
- Christie: Up 4 points, from percent.
- Bush: Up 1 point, from 7 percent.
- Cruz: Up 1 point, from 5 percent.
Kasich remained the same since the September survey — and the biggest loser was Fiorina, who plunged 11 points in the latest survey. She was at 16 percent in September.
The other candidates who fell among New Hampshire voters:
- Carson: Down 3 points, from 8 percent.
- Paul: Down 1 point, from 3 percent.
While Graham remained steady in the latest survey, Huckabee rose from less than 1 percent in the September poll.
The survey of 954 New Hampshire voters was conducted between Nov. 30 and Monday. It has a margin of error of 4.9 percent.
The New Hampshire primary will be held on Feb. 9 in the second contest during the 2016 presidential sweepstakes. It comes one week after the Iowa caucuses.
