President Donald Trump thinks it might be a good idea to look into what may be unfair trade practices by companies such as Google, he told Newsmax TV in an exclusive interview with "Spicer & Co."
Last week, Trump signed an executive order asking the FCC to look into Section 230 of the Federal Decency Act, to see whether social media companies are censoring online content.
Now, he is looking at how companies such as Amazon are wiping out smaller retailers.
"Look what Amazon's doing to this country. Amazon's destroying all these shopping malls and shopping centers. we have a lot of workers, You go through a beautiful town ... used to have a little store here along ... main street. These towns are wiped out now," Trump told host Sean Spicer. "The jobs that are being lost ... you look at towns, and cities, shopping centers and shopping areas, and it's like they're empty. They're dead. They're like deserts. I think it's a very unpleasant thing. And they have a big tax advantage.
Trump acknowledged the federal government has not intervened on Amazon, but that could change.
