Dick Morris to Newsmax: 'Twitter Files' Validating Trump's Election Claims

By    |   Monday, 12 December 2022 03:22 PM EST

Dick Morris, a bestselling author, TV host, and former adviser to Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, said he envisions a natural messaging pathway for Trump in the coming months, as Trump pitches to secure the Republican National Committee's presidential nomination in 2024.

Morris said it's all thanks to the "Twitter files," from a social platform in which Trump no longer uses.

"When Trump [previously] kept talking about the 2020 election being 'rigged' and 'fixed,' the American people understood there were some irregularities," Morris told Newsmax Monday while appearing on "American Agenda."

But with the so-called "Twitter Files," in which a group of independent journalists have begun highlighting old Twitter's alleged security problems and censorship practices with conservative voices and politicians — long before Elon Musk purchased the social platform for $44 billion — Morris said these potentially damning revelations are validating many of Trump's censorship accusations during his presidency (2017-21), including the handling of the 2020 election.

With Twitter and the FBI allegedly "conspiring" to suppress promotion or awareness of the original Hunter Biden laptop story in October 2020 (courtesy of the New York Post), "it's becomes it own form of election-rigging," said Morris, author of the book, "The Return: Trump's Big 2024 Comeback."

The investigative findings in the files — along with the leaked whistleblower complaints against Twitter's old management — have "become far more potent than anything that happened in the [election-running] backrooms of Michigan and Arizona" in 2020.

After being permanently banned from Twitter in January 2021 — an unprecedented occurrence that has been well-documented in the files — Trump launched his own social platform, TruthSocial.

Even though Trump has yet to officially comment via his official Twitter account, he routinely cites the investigative pieces on his TruthSocial feed.

From there, Morris believes it's only a matter of time before Trump and the FBI butt heads again.

"And this will put in context the grudge the [FBI] has against Trump, and their determination to stop him from being president again," said Morris, who hosts "Dick Morris Democracy" on Newsmax.
