Fox News has declared President Donald Trump the winner of pivotal battleground state Ohio, giving him 18 Electoral College votes.
The win gives Trump 204 Electoral College votes. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has 223, but Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Montana, North Carolina, Georgia, Iowa, Minnesota and Pennsylvania have yet to be called.
With most of Ohio’s voting areas tallied, Trump’s margin now stands at about 450,000 votes. That gives him a current 8-point lead — matching the spread of his surprise win in 2016.
"With over 90% of the precincts reporting, the raw vote has just about reached the 2016 level. It will be very hard for Biden to win Ohio," John Green, former director of the Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron, told the Columbus Dispatch.
