Billionaire activist Tom Steyer has scheduled an October 13 fundraiser for nine Democratic challengers for seats in the U.S. House, the Washington Free Beacon reports.

According to the website invitation, the “Flip the House” event aims to help the “top nine Democratic Nominees for California’s most winnable House seats.”

"Guest" tickets are $1,000, while four other tiers of prices range from $2,500 to $24,300.

Although Steyer launched a nationwide television campaign last year called "Need to Impeach" and then held a series of town halls in 30 cities nationwide to promote the idea, one of the billionaire’s representative said inferences should not be drawn between the candidates’ stance - or lack of a stance - on impeachment, and getting Steyer's support.

"Nextgen is working in 11 states and 30-plus congressional districts across the country and we've been clear impeachment isn't a litmus test," Steyer's NextGen America PAC spokeswoman Aleigha Cavalier said. "California is one of those states."

Steyer has lashed out at the Democratic establishment for not backing his impeachment campaign, saying last month that "I don’t see the Democratic establishment doing anything real to stop him," according to The Washington Post.

"They’re not willing to face the devastating and obvious facts about this president," Steyer insisted. "Like the fact that Donald Trump is wildly corrupt, and we are well past the threshold to kick him out of office."
