President Donald Trump tweeted out his support for various incumbent Republicans in Texas who face a primary vote next week.
One candidate not included in Trump's tweet is Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, who endorsed Trump in the 2016 election, and has been endorsed by the president's son, Donald Trump Jr.
Gov. Abbott exposed his fear of Democrats' early voting Monday in an email to supporters, according to The Dallas Morning News.
"We've seen a surge of liberal enthusiasm in deep red states like Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma," Abbott wrote. "We had always hoped the liberal wave would never hit Texas, but these Early Voting returns aren’t encouraging so far."
He added the returns should "shock every conservative to their core."
