Stephen Colbert Books Jeb Bush for His Debut 'Late Show'

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will appear on Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" debut Sept. 8.

The incoming "Late Show" host made the announcement Tuesday via Twitter, joking that since he does 200 shows a year he should be able to fit in everyone from the crowded GOP presidential field.

.@JebBush will be on #LSSC Sept. 8! My first GOP candidate! Luckily I do 200 shows a year, so I think I can fit them all.

Bush confirmed the news on his own Twitter account, and joked that Colbert might need to double up to get all the candidates on before the 2016 primaries are over.

There are 17 candidates vying for the Republican nomination.
