Trump Talks Up Colorado Springs as Space Force HQ

President Donald Trump's new Space Force has not named a headquarters, but the president teased an official announcement it will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

"I will be making a big decision for the Space Force as to where it's going to be located, and I know you want it," Trump told his campaign rally in Colorado Springs on Thursday night. "We'll be making that decision toward the end of the year."

The Space Force was signed into law as the sixth branch of the military in December. A $148 million plan to begin construction on Combined Space Operations Facility at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs has already been authorized. It is already home of the U.S. Space Command.

"You have all of the infrastructure, so you're being very strongly considered," Trump told cheering Trump supporters.

The tease was made during a trademark Trump campaign rally where he railed on his political opponents; yet, notably Trump did not mention his Thursday comments on the unfair Roger Stone trial.

"I don't know if anybody watched last night's debate," Trump said of the Democratic debate that featured the opposing party candidates burying primary campaign newcomer Mike Bloomberg. "It got very big ratings, and you know what? Mini Mike didn't do well last night.

"I was going to send him a note, saying, 'it's not easy doing what I do, is it? It's not easy, Mike. It's not easy for any of them."

Trump did hold back on others either, including Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., who got into another heated exchange with Pete Buttigieg, who he has called cartoon character Alfred E. Neuman.

"How about Klobuchar? She choked," Trump continued, adding a mock hands to the throat action. "She choked. She couldn't breathe.

"Alfred E. Neuman looked at her and said something slightly derogatory and she said, 'are you accusing me of being dumb?'

"Who would make a statement like that? Because that's really what he was doing, but he doesn't want to say that."

"That was the end of her campaign, in my book," Trump added.
