Mike Huckabee Supports Revoking Clearances of Obama-Era Officials

Former governor Mike Huckabee said Tuesday that he supports the revocation of security clearances from a number of officials who worked in the Barack Obama administration.

"It never occurred to me that you could walk out the door of your job and keep your hall pass," Huckabee said Tuesday on Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

Huckabee, now a Fox News contributor, said that John Brennan, a former CIA director, accused Trump of treason.

"John Brennan didn’t just say, 'I disagree with President Trump.' He accused him of treason. That is an offense that, if guilty, you could be executed for it. That’s not a minor thing, for a former CIA official to be that unhinged," said Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas.

White House press secretary - and Huckabee's daughter - Sarah Sanders announced Monday that President Donald Trump is looking into revoking the clearances of as many as six former Barack Obama administration officials:

Former CIA directors Brennan and Michael Hayden, former director of national intelligence James Clapper, former National Security Council adviser Susan Rice, former FBI director James Comey, and his deputy Andrew McCabe.
