The "elite media" has allowed themselves to carry their "personal animus" against President Donald Trump into their reporting, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Sunday.

"They don't like conservatives in general," Spicer told "The Cats Roundtable" on 970 AM-N.Y. . "I think in particular they really don't like this president. And it shows every single day."

Spicer, who used to field daily press briefing questions from those elitists in the "first few rows" has detailed his time in the White House in the book "The Briefing."

He added a rebuke of liberal leanings against conservatives and the president has gone beyond the news media and trickled into other parts of society because of the "animus," including his famous Melissa McCarthy portrayals on NBC "Saturday Night Live."

"I think they've kind of crossed that line, and become an agenda-based show where they are not in the camp of being funny as much as personally attacking the president and the folks around him in a very mean-spirited way," Spicer told host John Catsimatidis of "SNL."

"I think that they’ve lost funny, and gone straight after 'mean and attack' because of their personal animus toward the president."

What you will not see reported by the vengeful media, Spicer claimed, is Democrats looking into allegations against DNC deputy chairman Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., while they bring their vitriol against Judge Brett Kavanaugh in his Senate confirmation hearings.

"You see some of these Democratic senators that have really already decided in their mind on the Kavanaugh case, that they've given the DNC deputy chair [Keith Ellison], who is a current congressmen, a pass."
