Bill O'Reilly to Newsmax TV: Oil Attack Warrants Response

(Newsmax TV/"The Wayne Allyn Root Show")

By    |   Monday, 16 September 2019 08:52 PM EDT

There must be a response to the strikes on Saudia Arabian oil installations, but it cannot come from the U.S. alone, according to Bill O'Reilly on Newsmax TV.

"The president has to lead the world here," O'Reilly told "The Wayne Allyn Root Show." "You don't want the U.S. attacking Iran, because that would never go down. So, he's got to be deliberate in this and methodical, but something has to be done."

O'Reilly ripped the hypocrisy of those preemptively criticizing President Donald Trump for standing with Saudi Arabia. It is not about oil, it is about supporting an ally, he added.

"We, the United States, are energy independent, and who would like to dismantle that?" O'Reilly told host Wayne Allyn Root. "Does the Democratic Party sound familiar?

"They would like to dismantle the fact that we're self sufficient in energy through fracking, natural gas, and oil exploration. Democratic Party would like to put an end to that. They want to do away with all of it – so put us back into dependence."
