Actor Antonio Sabato Jr. on Monday night blasted Rep. Maxine Waters as “the hustler of hate” — and called for her arrest for “all the crime in her neighborhood.”
In a fiery exchange on Chris Cuomo’s CNN show, Sabato jumped on the host’s query of his “diagnosis” of Waters’s controversial call for the public to harass Trump administration officials with whom they might disagree.
“I call her the hustler of hate promoting hate and division and actually attacking the administration or anybody who is involved with this administration,” he said. “That's unheard of. She should be put behind bars and throw away the key.”
Cuomo challenged Sabato on his call for her jailing, asking “For what?”
“For all the crime in her neighborhood,” he replied. “Makes millions of dollars, lives in Beverly Hills, her constituents are dying on the street, homeless all over the place and she's walking away saying ‘everything is okay, our neighbors are fine’
“Why don't you go live in your neighborhood and live and surround yourself with your community and help them physically, be there, like I'm doing in Ventura County for 15 years. That's what people in Congress should be like, should be involved with the community 100 percent.
“She is not, absolutely not.”
When Cuomo countered whether his call for Waters’ jailing might be “just hyperbole,” adding “you you understand there is no crime.”
But Sabato charged Cuomo was just trying to change the subject.
“This is not about me,” he said. “I love my country more than anything. If people in Congress and the Democratic Party would put the American flag first, not the president, but the Americans first, this country would be perfect.”
