Vice President Joe Biden should make one more try for the White House, his predecessor, Dick Cheney, says in a new interview.
"He's tried twice before [so] he obviously is interested," the former vice president said in a portion of an interview that aired Monday morning on CNN's "New Day" show,
in which he appears with daughter Liz to promote their new book, "Exceptional."

Further, Cheney said that he believes Biden has a great deal of support in the Democratic Party, and he thinks "it would stir things up. They're short on candidates on their side, so I'd urge Joe to have a shot at it."
Cheney says Hillary Clinton hasn't locked down the nomination, as expected, as her email scandals and other issues have put the nomination "pretty well gone by the boards," so that's why he thinks "there's potential support out there."
"So she does have some opposition now, and my bet is Joe's gonna run," Cheney said in the interview, adding that "there's a very real possibility" of the email scandal undermining Clinton's candidacy.
He continued that Clinton's handling of her emails was "sloppy and unprofessional," reports CNN.
The full interview, conducted by CNN's new Special Correspondent Jamie Gangel, will air on "Anderson Cooper 360" Tuesday night.
