RNC's McDaniel: Dems Fail to Accept Trump Won in 2016

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Democratic lawmakers are involved in a “bogus impeachment effort” as part of a “never-ending failure” to accept Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election.

McDaniel made her comments in a Thursday morning tweet. She also claimed internal Democratic polling reveals that only 1 in 10 believe investigating Trump should be a priority.

She wrote: “Internal Democratic polling show that only 10% think investigating @realDonaldTrump should be a priority. Yet that’s exactly what House Dems are doing. Let’s call this bogus impeachment effort for what it is: A never-ending failure to accept that Donald J. Trump won in 2016!”

Her comments came as the House Judiciary Committee adopted a resolution allowing it to designate hearings as impeachment proceedings.
