Florida Gov. Rick Scott is postponing a scheduled Monday meeting with Donald Trump to monitor a storm moving toward the state's Gulf Coast.
A spokesperson for Scott's political organization tells the
Washington Post on Sunday Scott put off the meeting in New York after the
National Hurricane Center issued a tropical storm warning.
Spokeswoman Melissa Sellers had said the meeting with Trump was to talk about general election strategy in the battleground state, the Post reports. There's no new date set for the meeting.
"We should have a new date in the next few days," Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks tells the Post.
A
new poll in Florida released Friday shows Hillary Clinton with a three-point lead over Trump.
