Reggie Love, who was known as President Barack Obama's "body man," during the years he worked in the White House, now says he would not turn down a job with President-elect Trump, The Hill reported.

"I don't know that I would be Trump's personal aide," Love told The Hill. "I think that's a very hard relationship, and a very hard job to do, and I'm probably too old, too tired, not spry enough to keep up in that role anymore.

"But look, I would totally consider — if Trump said, 'Hey Reggie, we would love for you to come help us with our energy policy, or financial services, or we need help with public engagement.'"

"I would not turn it down," Love said. "He's the president of the United States, and I have a lot of respect for Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama, and everything they've done," he added, "but also a lot of respect for the office."

Love, who served as Obama's special assistant and aide from 2007-2011, currently is the host of a new on-demand show on the Monumental Sports Network, The Hill noted.

Despite keeping the door open to working for Trump, Love still had good words for Obama.

"I've learned more and had more experiences in life working for him by his side," he told The Hill. "My hope is that I'll always be able to continue to learn and grow as a friend of his."

In an interview with The Washington Post, Love raised the possibility of having Obama as a guest on his sports show.

"I think there's a possibility of it," he said. ". . . He's a big sports fan. We'll see what happens."
