It'd be easier to change the worst of voters' negative views of Donald Trump – even a comparison to Adolf Hitler – than it would be to turn around unfavorable views of Hillary Clinton, according to a talk radio show host.

In an interview with CNN, a clip of which was posted by Mediaite, KABC's John Phillips pushed back against an ad from GOP presidential rival Sen. Ted Cruz that compares Clinton and the party's front-runner.

"If Donald Trump is going to win the general election, he's going to have to prove to the public that he's not Adolf Hitler, which is going to be easy for him to do."

Clinton, on the other hand, is "going to have to prove that she's not Hillary Clinton."

"That's going to be much harder to do," Phillips said.

Cruz surrogate Steve Lonegan dismissed the radio host's suggestion, adding he would have been attacked if he dared mention Trump and Hitler in the same breath.
