South Florida viewers of the only debate between two-term Senator Bill Nelson and Congressman Connie Mack IV thought Mack very clearly won.
In a poll by NBC6, which aired the debate in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, viewers though Mack came out on top 61 to 33, with just under five percent calling it a draw.
Early voting has already started in Florida, and hundreds of thousands of absentee ballots have already been dropped in the mail, however the race could help turn control of the Senate to Republicans if Mack finds a way to win to be the popular incumbent. Currently, Mack trails Nelson by six points in polls, according to Real Clear Politics.
