More than 5 million people voted in Georgia in November, and if there is "anywhere near that voter turnout" in the current Senate runoff races, "we will be in great shape," Sen. David Perdue, the Republican incumbent in one of the vital elections, said Tuesday as voters headed to the polls.

"Republicans are in about the same position we were in November, and I won my race by two points," Perdue told Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "Republicans notoriously wait to the last minute to vote on Election Day, and today is no different, and I'm very confident that they know what's at stake."

He added that he and fellow GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who is also fighting for her seat in Tuesday's runoffs, have been standing with President Donald Trump to get answers about the "plenty of irregularities that have not been answered in the November election."

Trump held a rally in Georgia Monday night, during which he both campaigned for Loeffler and Perdue and spoke about his own fight concerning the November election results. Perdue on Tuesday said that "of course" Trump would deserve credit if voters pick him and Loeffler in the runoff races.

"What's at stake here is we want to hold the line against this radical Socialist agenda," said Perdue. "That's why the president came down. Also, to protect what we have accomplished in the last four years. Look, this is the greatest economic turn around in U.S. history before COVID in the last four years."

Perdue also attacked his Democrat opponent, media company owner Jon Ossoff, over his campaign donor list and his company's associations.

"Most of my opponent's money is coming from big tech in California," said Perdue. "He raised twice as much money in California as he did in the state of Georgia. In fact, in the general election, over 80% of his money came from New York and California primarily."

He also slammed Ossoff as a "trust fund baby that never created one American job" and accused him of having "really scandalous ties with the Chinese Communist Party and Al Jazeera" through his company.

"(There are) concerns whether he can get a security clearance in the Senate because of his background," Perdue claimed.
