House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Wednesday accused President Donald Trump of threatening the integrity of the upcoming elections, including making plans to intimidate voters casting their ballots at the nation's polling places.

"Republican and Democratic governors throughout the country, I don't know what real role they have unless we're talking about just stopping the violence that the president is trying to invoke," the California Democrat said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "But I do know that he is intimidating people and that is really an argument for people to vote by mail, vote early, vote by mail. Don't be intimidated by going to the polling places and see people who look like ICE agents or law enforcement or something who might follow you hope to see if you have a mixed-status home or something like that."

The speaker said she's been measuring Trump's behavior for some time to see how far he'll go to undermine the elections, and "chaos and confusion is the order of the day for him almost every day."

"In light of that, what are the possibilities he would declare victory on election night and say vote-by-mail doesn't count and I won by those who voted in person," Pelosi added. "We'll see what that outcome is and I'm urging everyone to get out there and vote."

She also threatened court action if Republican legislatures give Trump the electoral votes after Biden wins the state's popular votes.

"Of course, we know what he's doing with the court now to be an end game for him there in the courts, so, with all of that, it takes time," said Pelosi. "Even if you win in court, it takes time."

But if the Electoral College vote does not have a majority by a certain date, the Constitution says the House chooses the winner by state votes, Pelosi said.

"That means California with 53 members of Congress has one vote and that means that Alaska with one member of Congress has one vote," said Pelosi.
