Demonstrators jeered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., at a gathering of progressive activists in Washington on Tuesday morning, according to a report in the Washington Post.
The Speaker, however, stood her ground, shouting her policy speech over the din of protests.
Pelosi appeared rattled, then said: "I'm not going to leave. I am going to make my speech over your voices."
The protesters shouted choruses of, "Our homes, not nursing homes," until Pelosi finally finished and was escorted from the stage.
