In an effort to keep the GOP House majority, Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., has brought in another $2.5 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee, the Washington Examiner is reporting.
Team Ryan, the speaker’s campaign operation, has turned over $38 million to the NRCC since the 2016 elections, according to the website.
"Speaker Ryan's leadership has put House Republicans in a strong position to have a successful 2018," said Team Ryan Executive Director Kevin Seifert. "Support for the House's conservative agenda remains strong and the speaker's nonstop efforts to boost the conference ensures that Republicans will have the resources they need to promote a positive message this fall," Seifert said.
Ryan has reportedly told House Republicans to be more aggressive in their efforts to raise money for the 2018 elections. He told GOP lawmakers to get assistance from the NRCC if needed, according to The Hill.
